We visit this gem as often as we can - to be able to stroll among the millions of snowdrops as winter advances into spring and the freshness of spring and the multitude of differing blossoms. Calm and peace to those who may need to reflect on nature.

Visited this large National Trust property very recently on an agreeably sunny day. We were a trifle underwhelmed in many ways. The house is interesting from an historical and architectural point of view, with fine staircases in particular and pleasing symmetrical facades. There are also some fine statues apparently in the gardens, though the were boxed in when we visited... More

Fantastic property and grounds, well worth a visit if travelling in this part of the UK. Some impressive art and Egyptian artifacts are very interesting.

A national trust property with a house and gardens. Lovely walks and nice stable tea rooms, but I really loved the house. There is an amazing collection of art works to see.

visited early in the season so much of the gardens were not in flower - Rose gardens not yet in bloom but obviously well on their way - when they are they will be outstanding. Very interesting Italian Palace style house - with all its associated history. A new waiting ticket system is in place from this season but we... More

Arrived as the doors opened at this beautiful house. First of all may I say yes, there were NT advisers in each room but never harassed by any! On the contrary I approached them and found them very kind and helpful full of enthusiasm and knowledge and history of the house and people who had lived there! I loved the... More

This is the most delightful place to take friends and well behaved dogs for a walk. We ambled and chatted our way through woods carpeted with wild garlic and full of early spring bird-song then sat in the large stable yard for lunch. The cafe is friendly and well run with a good selection of light dishes, two soups and... More

We went originally for the free morning walk about 3 miles...excellent lots of information. Then we did the garden ,the house, and finished with a very nice tea. We had taken our lunch with us. We are N.T members and enjoyed the whole day.

Always a great visit , too much to see in a day ! Sympathetically renovated in the 1980's and taken back to an era when house was spectacular. Grounds also worth a wander around.

We visited Kingston Lacy on a Sunday early in March and had a delightful day. On arrival we were told to book an entrance time for our visit to the house, which we duly did. We had plenty of choice of times and were able to pick a time that suited us. (By staggering people's entrance times to the house,... More
