This walk has lovely views of Weymouth and Portland beaches. Not recommended for people with walking difficulties as some parts has no steps or the steps are very steep. It would have been nice to explore inside but it was shut unfortunately. Not sure whether it is open to the public.

Visited with my wife for a quick look, as we enjoy old abandoned places (well I do anyway!). Was good for a nice short walk, and poking around in the tunnels which are open. Got me interested in the history of this and the adjoining citadel. You can have some good fun with the echoes in the tunnels; my wife... More

amazing wandering around here to imagine all the goings on many years ago. I wandered around the tunnels and rooms with only my phone torch for company and was quite amazed at the lack of grafitti and litter. It was a bit spooky though and only after i came out, upon reading the tourist info, I found out the tunnels... More

The name is self explanatory ,, great as part of a walk on the isle of Portland , the view is fantastic and it's an interesting part of the military connection with Portland

Go past the old entrance for Verne Citadel and park just beyond Fancy's Farm in order to take a path to the High Angle battery sites. In order to get the most out of this site it is perhaps worthwhile doing some internet research on it before going. Sadly most of the tunnels under the farm and the old battery... More
