Title says it all. Visited dozens of times over the years. 3 miles of golden sand, good facilities near the town and split into 3 areas for no dogs/dogs on leads/dogs off leads. Good surf when conditions permit. Parking can be difficult in the summer holiday period.

This expansive beach is great for a stiff walk along the sands. Unfortunately there can often be a stiff breeze blowing too which can add to the chill factor. However, well-wrapped up, it's still one of the best beaches around for a pleasant stroll. Woolacombe itself is a bit of a let-down!

the beach must be a mile or more and you can even take your dog off the lead on part of it. the town comes right down to the beach with lots of amenities close to hand.

Beautiful beach. If you explore, there are some lovely walks. Also two coves. Down side. Lack of toilets, cows on sand Dunes.

We visited on a foggy March day but still had a brilliant time walking along the beach. It was pretty quiet and easy to park.

Woolacombe beach is great for everyone. To get to the beach you need to walk down hill so if you have weak hips/knees probably not a great idea but still a lovely view if you follow the carpark to the cliff edge and there is a bunch of benches where you can sit and see the sea

We rented an amazing bungalow 2 minutes from the beach which I will also highly recommend. It was with Blue Chip holidays the bungalow was Called long break view. Fantastic team that looks after the bungalow headed by the lovely Pauline hade everything we could have wished for including a secure beautiful garden for our two little dogs to play... More

I'm finding it hard to compliment Woolacombe except for the stunning scenery. The whole area is run down, dilapidated, and lacking in anything to occupy a family for a weeks holiday. Like most places in the UK, everything is closed until end March/April time. Even then, there is hardly anything to do. No gift shops, no decent pubs, lack of... More

Despite the hit and miss weather, have just returned from a short break 2 minutes away from this fabulous beach. We chose to come here due to it being a dog friendly beach and our dog had a blast. Miles of long sandy beach for him and us to enjoy. Relatively clean, just some bits of washed up debris. We... More

Thank you for your review. I am delighted that you gave us five stars but felt that I need to make it clear that this time of year we litter and 'plastic' pick by hand a couple of times a week. We will start with our beach cleaning machine next week to begin preparing the beach for Easter. We start... More
