Did not bother to enter this site as they wanted £7 for a maximum of three hours to visit this venue, which we thought was overpriced.

Parked outside St Peters Church where there is free parking (limited to 2 hours at peak times). More parking inside the castle after the gates are open but the castle entrance is quite narrow so be careful. We are both Historic Houses members so entry...More

Really very good indeed, so informative, so well laid out, so interesting and so well done... really not to be missed..... its fabulous. The opening times are quite limited and as such its a real undiscovered gem, Sunday afternoon seems a good time to go...More

Stepping through solid doors we were greeted by Mrs Gordon who gave an introductory talk as we enjoyed coffee and biscuits. Wonderful grounds and romantic ruins, Norman towers and gatehouse. Attractive gardens to explore and appreciate. Well worth a visit!

I went with 3 adults 2 children. The children got to try on the helmets and explore the grounds . We were allowed an apple by the Gardner from the orchard . Sunny day so walking around the grounds was more enjoyable
