The guide was also the person who tended the horse pulling the barge. He was informative and very amusing. The lively sheepdog also entertained and was equally vocal.

Unfortunately not. Beware who you share the barge with. A coachload of senior females did nothing but talk and laugh loudly non stop from the time they boarded. Totally ruined the experience for others.

This was our first visit this year having been about 4 years ago. Still a very good horse drawn barge and being on the canal the peace and wildlife are well worth the price. .
