I've just read the review I wrote in September 2017. Nothing much hhad changed except the weather was better this year! We had a lovely cruise down the estuary, seeing some cormorants, redshanks and a heron on the way and a lovely cup of hot chocolate....More

It was spur of the moment that we decided to go to Salcombe from Kingsbridge. Our choice was the Rivermaid, a small cruiser with seating inside and out, upstairs and down. The skipper did a running commentary, one member of the crew wandered around selling...More

We use the Rivermaid a lot. Excellent service from Kingsbridge to Salcombe. Easy parking at K’bridge Creek, cruises around the Estuary ( actually it’s a Ria) are fantastic plus ferry service to Salcombe. Watch the timetables, it runs whenever the tides are favourable. There is...More

We had a fantastic time on the ferry with our children and all the other families, the boat was clean, on time, & helpful very friendly crew. The previous 3 negative reviews are unjust, was that regatta week? Just saying!?

I went with a church group last Saturday. No sign of the abusive woman. An excellent commentary on the birds in the estuary by Gordon and Peter. We saw loads of birds and I learnt so much about them. Refreshments were served too. Can't wait...More

Absolutely appalled at the abuse thrown our way by the crazy woman running the boat trip. We didn't even make it onto the boat due to her abusive and aggressive nature. My 11yr old son and I were being taken on this trip by our...More

REALLY AWFUL we are locals. Never been on the ferry before, but had visitors so decided to give it a go. Upon arriving at the Boatyard Quay, we were all shouted at by the lady who works on the ferry that boarding was at 7pm...More

Living locally, my sister and I decided to take a pleasure trip on this vessel with a visiting friend and 3 children. However, we didn’t make it past the gangplank. The boys, excited at the prospect of a voyage tried to get aboard 15 minutes...More
