We arrived on a 'closed' day so no tour of the lighthouse. However the walk down and back was bracing on what turned out to be a chilly day. Plenty to look at, lovely scenery and wildlife.

We took the tour around the lighthouse which was really informative and interesting with details on how the lighting technology has changed over the years. Great coastal views from the top. There is also a lovely coastal walk to the lighthouse from the car park.

We had a superb guide who was very informative about the lighthouse and its history. Amazing views worth the walk from the car park

Great tour , the views themselves are stunning but the tour was informative and fun with an excellent guide. Visit now before the beautiful lamp is replaced by a series of LEDs and get the experience of life as a lighthouse keeper. Kids well entertained.

Love this place and have lost count the amount of times we’ve walked to the lighthouse. The views are breathtaking and it’s a great walk, come rain or shine. You can often see the seals which is lovely, take your camera :)

Completed a circular walk around Start Point, including the lighthouse. Fantastic views, many species of birds and insects with the highlight being the small seal colony. Would highly recommend.

Very interesting tour and knowledgeable guide. My 4 year old grandson loved the tour too and was given special attention.

Have often sailed passed the lighthouse for a long flog either east or west across the bay so it was a treat to see it at a much greater pace and close up. Parked up and walked down and looked at the information board both...More

Parked up and could not believe the amazing views! Took a walk down to the lighthouse. There is a guide board which details where towns and villages are on the coastline.

Drove 7 hours from London and 5 hours back to London, all in the same day; all for exactly an hour at this beautiful lighthouse! The car park charges £3.50. The roads are pretty windy, unlit and narrow on the final road down to the...More
