We went to Dawlish Warren primarily to birdwatch. the nature reserve is beautiful, open grasslands with clumps of trees, wildflowers and with the sae on one side and the estuary on the other. there is a hide overlooking the estuary and the views are stunning

Great to get our into the open fresh air, exhilerating! There is an information office but is only open at weekends. We're birdwatchers so the hide was useful to get fairly close to the birds when the tide is high. Beware though as it's not...More

This is a brilliant nature reserve for walks and picnics. You can take your dog on a lead. The nature reserve hut has lots of information on the birds and flowers in the area. There are wild berries growing around, and it gives good shelter...More

On the way to dawlish beach, you may Co e across the sand dunes, if you’re lucky enough you may wander off the thoroughfare and spy some unspoilt marram grass dunes. Yes you can still hear the sea, seagulls and kids but mutedly. The nesting...More

Beautiful little pot just behind a busy summer time beach, not explored much by most of the tourists. Very sandy so if you have limited mobility it is very hard going in places. But a nice place to chill out.

Lovely scenic and peaceful place containing sand dunes, golden sandy beach, mud flats with wading birds, wild flowers, etc. Nice views of Exmouth over the very narrow mouth of the estuary. It's quite a walk to Warren Point though and can be tough going in...More

Not sure.... it’s sand dunes with some compacted paths. I didn’t go far because the weather was awful but involved going over a bit of sand dune to get to the path. Not sure if there’s another way in. I didn’t go as far as... More
