Hilary give us the tour, she was knowledgeable, funny and clearly has a great passion for the winemaking business. A really great way to spend a few hours, learning about how she & her husband Richard started their English vinery and wine making business. A fascinating insight into their world Met some other lovely people too while we were there... More

We agree entirely with what other reviewers have said: excellent. We used this as an introduction before visiting several more wineries in Devon and Cornwall - Sharpham, Knightor, etc - during our week in the West Country.

Great welcome from our host who gave great history and background to English wine. Wonderfully down to earth explanation of the method the pitfalls and process that goes into making what is absolutely sensational wine. We were able to learn the technique and practicality of being a small wine grower and making it a success. Tour lasted just over 2... More

I've just read the ' terrible' review left on trip advisor after visiting the winery and I cannot disagree more. This is a small business not a large mechanised factory. I've seen both and to be honest small is better. The owner told us his story and showed us the processes in making the wines he produces. It was very... More

We had a brilliant tour around the vineyard on the 'Vine to Wine' tour with Hilary. We really did track the progress of the wine from end to end, Hilary brought the journey to life through her personal insights and straight forward explanations, meaning the it was very easy to follow and very informative. The wines are really fantastic, we're... More

A lovely spot at Northlew - banks full of primrose and daffodils was the welcoming start to an excellent visit. A very informative and entertaining talk by one of the owners - Richard Waller - during a tutored tasting of rose and sparkling wines followed by a visit to the winery - bottling area. So interesting to see an English... More

Out of season on a cold wet December day, and I was the only visitor. No tours (would you want one on such a day?) but I was treated to a knowledgable discussion on their wines, and some insights into running an English vineyard. Descriptions of the wine were honest and not a hard sell. The prices are not outrageous,... More

A bit difficult to get to, especially if it's in Autumn/Winter time, due to the very narrow and single-track country roads. But when you arrive, you'll find a knowledgeable and helpful viniculturist (wine grower / producer) who seems like a member of the family, rather than a salesman. Congratulations to them, for selling their fizz, to Marks and Spencer, so... More

We (4 adults & 3 children) booked onto the 'winery talk & tour' this Tuesday. We were met by Hillary who gave us the introduction as to how Eastcott vineyard had evolved and has become what it is today. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed the talk whilst sat in the lovely grounds enjoying the summer sun. We... More

Two hours of great explanations of the process by Hillary. Lovely wine .Worth a visit but don't follow sat nav ring for directions. Not a touristy place (no food or coffees etc) which was great ...no pressure to buy . Just enjoy.
