Which ever entrance you chose its a lovely walk, not for people with walking problems. Dog friendly, good cafe at both entrances.

There are two entrances: The main entrance and the waterfall entrance. It is a short (but not level) walk from the waterfall entrance to the waterfall.

Yes as long as it's not prone to jumping off high edges! Dog friendly town and attractions saw lots of dogs on and off leads
