An average experiance. Glad it was half price special weekend. I wouldve left very disappointed if i had paid full price. Staff seemed very friendly

A period extremely well restored railway with a small museum at Buckfastleigh. Lovely smooth rides. Inexpensive refreshments on the trains. Simple well presented food in the spacious café at the end of the line. ALL the staff were delightful and informative once one signified an...More

A lovely place to visit. Take a train ride to nostalgia.Go back in time to the good old days of steam. After your trip enjoy a lovely meal in the restaurant, and then browse in the gift shop. Great day out

Quaint, well-preserved rail trip from Totnes to Buckfastleigh, running alongside the river Dart. Park in the main station car park, at the far end, then a ten minute walk over a bridge to the old line. Sit of the left hand side of the carriage,...More

Another very pleasant journey along the Dart Valley, just as in earlier reviews. The only new impression formed was how pricey the singles are: on previous trips we have had the all-day tickets which are good value at £15. This time we only had a...More

We took advantage of the kids travel for a pound option during half term. The station at Buckfastliegh was lovely and made a lovely venue for a pre-ride picnic. The journey was nice and the carriage we sat in was lovely. The facilities were well...More

This was a very enjoyable steam train trip. Buckfastleigh station was immaculate with a very good museum and the staff obviously really love being involved. It made for a very engaging experience. You feel your fare is really going to good use.

The train journey itself was great, with excellent staff, though unquestionably overpriced for such a short journey. The Paignton station ticket office and shop contains an awful lot of cheap plastic tat and some rather poor staff, particularly the blonde lady (no name badge?) at...More

Hi Alan, We believe that you have posted this review on the wrong location as our trains run between Buckfastleigh and Totnes not Paignton.

Quaint little station with a café opposite and a shop selling railway paraphernalia. Nice way to spend half an hour chugging slowly along to Totnes. We didn't get off there as we were advised that the shops were a decent walk away so stayed on...More
