We recently visited this attraction on their Medical weekend. We were very lucky with the weather. The grounds are beautiful. We watched an archery demonstration , the dressing of the suit of armour and visited the camp where you could speak to people and find out more about life as it used to be. The only slightt criticism we have... More

A nice afternoon out here and the weather was sunny and warm too. Fairly busy but the cafe/restaurant was very nice and clean, cream tea was excellent. The church was magnificent and the grounds and gardens were useful to walk and burn off the calories. Free admission, and the toilets were very clean and maintained. Well worth a visit, and... More

We were very surprised to find there is no charge to visit these premises. It has beautiful grounds and a very peaceful feel throughout. We found it to be very accessible for someone on an electric scooter. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit

FREE parking and FREE to get into the Abby and grounds. You can use your camera in most parts of the Abby and anywhere in the grounds. Start with the video introduction which gives a bit of background to the Abby than enjoy the gardens and the building itself. I would say there is a quiet area in the Abby... More
