You can hire a disabled chair but for our boy it has not sufficient support. However there is a ramp and about 4/5 metre of soft sands (we have to drag the chair through this) after that the sands is hard enough to push the...More

Easily the best beach I have visited in the UK (I'm sure there could be better... I just haven't visited them :-)). Miles of sand, with a section that dries out and is soft underfoot and a section that stays wet and is firm to...More

This is a fantastic beach that goes on for miles to finally join up with Crow point. It's dog friendly (Dogs on leads) and safe with a very gently shelving beach that gives nice surf very close to the shore so you don't need to...More

We love coming here. There is a simple café/Ice cream place, a shop, surf hire and school, restaurant along with miles and miles of sand. We don't have a problem with paying on exit as we have an annual season ticket. We have taken two...More

The beach here is nice and clean and amazingly long in width at low tie. Be aware with car park you will nerd your car Reg. To pay when ready to leave.

Beautiful beach, decent facilities as they should be for the car park charges. Just wish other people would respect the beach more

The beach is superb 3.5 miles of pure sand. Very clean beach with plenty of rubbish bins and recycling bins. Also dog friendly beach too. Great to walk on the dunes too.

This is just one of the many lovely beaches in North Devon. The advantage here is that the car park charges by the hour rather than a fixed fee regardless of how long you stay.

Dogs are required to be kept on a lead for the first 0.25 mile on the beach - but I only saw a few walkers observing this. The beach is so vast when the tide is out unleashed dogs would be away quickly anyway. Owners are... More

Def not, it's a family beach, there's lots of children's activities, like surfing and Kite flying, think you need to look elsewhere, the only beach I know that does naturalist bathing is Brighton and at Studland Bay... More
