We stayed at a house overlooking the main beach which gave glorious views and spectacular sunsets. The tidal range is very changeable and not easy to work out if you wish to explore the sea edge area. The pilchard Inn across the tidal beach was...More

I'm not a big fan of photos, selfies or phone videos. I prefer to capture a moment in my mind - it's a shutter stock moment but it's rooted in my head. What could be better than the entirely stunning views at Bigbury - the...More

Love Bigbury on Sea. Beach is endless. Beautiful scenery, wonderful walks. The historic Pilchard Inn provides outdoor seating for a welcome rest to people and dog watch!! Huge expanse of beach for the dog to run freely, ours plods!!! But thoroughly enjoys every moment.

We were only for the afternoon. There is a large expanse of beach. We walked across to Burgh Island whilst the tide was out. A pleasant afternoon.

The weather when we visited Bigbury was beautiful and just made the beach look even more spectacular. We arrived to a completely empty car park on the day we went which wasn't surprising as it was a midweek visit. The car park is at the...More

What a view! There are rock pools to explore and a fantastic walk across the beach to the hotel......when the tide is out. We were lucky to have a beautiful sunny day , at the end of September as well!

Bigbury-on-Sea is perhaps best known for Burgh Island but the beach has its own attraction. The large expanse of sand appears to be well maintained, although it could probably do with some more local places to eat and drink - those on Burgh Island itself...More

Only at certain times of the year. But I think one side allows them all year round. Sorry didn’t really take much notice of the signs as I don’t own a dog.
