Looking out over the beach this small church has a huge presence in St Brelade. Surrounded by a huge graveyard filled with people over the past centuries in the perfect location to rest in peace. The church itself has the most amazing stone ceiling as well as as separate fishermans chapel which itself has some really interesting paintings on the... More

Viewed from the sands bearing the same name, St Brelade's church seems ( at the far west end) to blend into the landscape. A notable part of Jersey's Christian heritage, there has been a church at this stunning location since 1035AD, although much of the exterior dates from 3 centuries later. Strong, sturdy (and windswept when we visited) it is... More

Only a small church but beautifully kept with an amazing ceiling - local stone but how on earth they constructed it is beyond me, I have a couple of theories but I'm not sure they would prove correct. The churchyard has a lot of interesting gravestones which are remarkably readable considering their age and the elements that they are exposed... More

The church is beautiful in its simplicity. It's location and surrounding grounds offers a feeling of spiritual peace and renewal. There is a strong sense of the people who lived, worked and worshipped here over the centuries, helping to provide a feeling of the continuing value of the church in the community.

Well worth a visit as this is this is a lovely church. We ended up visiting St Brelade's Bay twice during our week in Jersey and would say that's it's well worth a visit.

On our 5th visit to jersey , we took time out to wander around this lovely church yard . we must have spent about 2 hours wandering around looking at the gravestones and learning more about the history of the area . at the end , we went into the original old fisherman's chapel , and were taken aback by... We were able to attend a service in this wonderful church when we stayed at St Brelades Bay hotel. We were given a warm welcome by the very friendly people. We sensed God's presence in this well cared for church. A bonus was, we were invited to have coffee afterwards in the church hall! It's great to have a church... More

This little stone built church will always be special to our family. The peace and security of this church is a great comfort to us all.

Was amazed at him old the church was and the history behind it. It has a graveyard that has very old gravestones written in French but the more modern ones are written in English. The church itself is very pretty inside and again full of interesting information. There is a Fishermans Chapel were they have Sunday services. I found it... More
