We took the Coastal route and enjoyed it very much. Mullaghmore is a small fishing village. The harbour is very pretty. We drove on the coast road to Mullaghmore head (this is where international surfers come in search of big waves called 'prowlers'. i was told that swells can reach up to 30m (approx. 100 feet). This usually happens in the... Now I don't surf big waves, and neither do I recommend you do either but if you want to see some of the biggest waves and the thickest slabs of raw ocean power, Mullaghmore coast has it. For ocean lovers, prepare to be amazed. Surfers prepare to be humbled. These waves on a good day rival the best of Hawaii... More

This is a lovely scenic drive. Mullaghmore itself is a very pretty town/village, with lovely fishing boats in the harbour. Great view of Classiebawn Castle in the distance

We decided to take a nice drive from Keadue to Mullaghmore along the R280 through the mountains. It has been about 8 years since we last went there. Then, it was in the summer and being a popular place was packed and very difficult to park. Now, although a lovely day there were very few people around. It is a... More

Mullaghmore is such a serene, scenic village with panoramic views of the coast. It is an ideal location to switch off from the fast pace of life and to be at one with nature. Live in the moment..do go and explore. Bring your walking shoes!

Ideal for enjoying a walk and beautiful scenery of the coast. The surf is spectacular, and wonderful to look at. There are a nice selection of eateries around the harbour. If you like seafood Eithna's is a must.

So lovely, I've moved here. Do I need to say more?! :0) Amazed by the beauty of Mullaghmore and it's history. So much to do in Sligo from caving. Mountain climbing, tombs, mine adventuring in ballintrillick just up the road. Mullaghmore could do with a coffee shop. Great for surfing and the beach is amazing and clean. Great watersport centre... More

We had been to Mullaghmore once before, just after getting engaged just over fourteen years ago. The weather had been somewhat indifferent and we had wandered along by the harbour, but today the sun was shining from a clear blue sky, even though there was ice underfoot. We headed out on the circular walk along the lanes that run alongside... More
