Overview
More
Cedars of Lebanon State Park is located in Wilson County and is part of the Cedars of Lebanon State Forest. The park is named for Eastern Red Cedar trees found throughout the area. The trees reminded early American settlers of the famed Biblical cedar forests that thrived across Mount Lebanon in what is now the Mediterranean area. Cedars of Lebanon became a state park in 1955. Eight miles of hiking trails meander through the cedar forests and glades. There are four trails in the park where you may catch a glimpse of fox, deer, squirrel, rabbits and turkey throughout the park. Picnicking is another popular activity. All picnic tables are equipped with grills and there are also 11 picnic shelters located throughout the park. Three of the picnic shelters can be reserved for a fee. The 900 acre park has 117 campsites equipped with picnic tables and grills, electric and water hookups.

My family and I were traveling up through middle tn. We noticed this park from the sign near the road and decided to visit it! The park was clean, well taken care of and the camping spots were perfect!

The sites are not that big, and we didn't feel comfortable having a fire in the fire pit with neighbors. The bathrooms are very outdated and kind of icky. I opted not to take a shower in it, but my husband did and said the...More

Not a great deal of man made activities, but a quiet, peaceful, setting for camping and hiking. The park does have a nice swimming pool, horseback riding, and multiple camp sites. Also, a few cabin rentals are available.

What a beautiful campground. Dedicated in the 1930's it's well maintained. Our site included water and sewer along with a fire ring and picnic table. Our site was level. And the price? OMG reasonable. Along with a senior discount.

Unfortunately, the only times that we have stayed here are for overnight stays. I hope to return sometime and stay for several nights. A very nice and well kept park, in my opinion.
