Rode to the beach from town on the high road and stopped for a while, very pretty. Would be nice during a hot day.

This is a gorgeous beach, with lovely views over towards Connemara. There are toilets marked on the map, however these were locked when I was there. Luckily there are cafes at the visitor centre at Dun Aonghasa just a few minutes away by bike!

Very nice "blue flag" beach. Ireland's highest standard. Located at a cross roads where there are many historical sites to see. It was our starting point for a couple good hikes to the big fort and the worm hole.

A perfect beach to spend the evening and relax. The water is so clean and you can see different colours in the water due to the depth.. a truly breathtaking view.

This is a really beautiful, uncrowded beach. It is a great place to see. I'm sure there must be some days when the weather on the island is conducive to sitting on the beach, but during our trip we never saw such a day. This...More
