The East Tennessee History Museum located in downtown Knoxville is still and will probably always be my favorite museum in Knoxville. Bring some comfortable shoes. Although this is not the largest museum I have ever been in, there is quite a bit of walking involved...More

We really liked this museum, very well done and it is very large. We spent about 3 hours in here and probably could have stayed a little longer, but they closed at 4.

Have found information on my family and other people families such as when they got married, where they lived, etc., back in the 1700's and 1800's. They have information on Tennessee and other states also.
