My daughter had her wedding reception here and it was perfect.

The gardens are in tiers all the way down to the river. Beautiful landscaping everywhere. The food was downstairs in the house and was perfect for a buffet type dinner. Staff was there to assist if needed during the reception and stayed to lock up. It's a beautiful house to walk through if you visit Knoxville, and is at the... More

I attended a wedding at this venue. The gardens and fountains are beautiful. The wedding was set up by the river, very romantic. The flowers, food, bar, music at this venue were great. Perfect place for an outdoor event!

Stunning gardens, beautifully landscaped, and a beautiful period house. The back of the house faces the serene Tennessee river, and a steep hill descends to the river with comfortable walkways provided. I only saw the main floor of the house, and it has been nicely restored. Weddings, meetings, and other events are scheduled here.

The folks who first lived here built the nearby Bleak House (aka, Confederate Memorial Hall) for a daughter's wedding gift. Crescent Bend has a stunning silver collection, as well as lovely gardens which terrace down to the river behind the house. This is one of the jewels in the historic crown of Knoxville. It is especially beautiful in the springtime.

This is not your average historic experience and so worth the time. I first perused the gardens in back, as the home was not yet open. The landscaping, plants, reflecting pool and structures are so impressive. Design incorporates immaculate elegance while preserving the natural beauty of the area. If you go to the edge of the garden, you can experience... More

If you have yet to attend a charity event or wedding here, it is absolutely stunning. The best time to tour the gardens is from late March to early April. The back terraces are beautifully landscaped with hundreds of breathtaking tulips.

What a great day to spend in Knoxville by taking a tour and learning the history threw the homes that bring the cities history to life. Judith are host was very friendly and informative. We were informed for a small additional fee that there were 5 other homes that we could tour, which could make for a great way to... More

Crescent Bend is a historic home that has gone through many changes, the last of which was an attempt to return the house to its original look. That attempt was pretty successful, and the look is augmented by the fantastic Toms Collection of antique furniture and decorative arts. It is well worth a visit. Unfortunately, the home's Web site does... More
