Nice zoo, but charge for everything.

Despite the ongoing construction, my family always has a great time at the zoo no matter what time of year we go. In the summer, the splash pad is open. Great place to cool off. They allow you to bring in food, so that helps when there during mealtime. There are some eateries on site though.

This was my first visit and I love zoos. The kids area was amazing but kind of confused about why the beaver and skunks were in that area - should have been in a North American section. The reptile area needed some not so milky looking glass so you could see into the exhibit. The red panda exhibit and the... More

We usually visit during field trips. The new enclosure for the lions is awesome and I loved to walk up to the giraffes. Love it.

We stopped on our way home from GSM. We arrived mid morning and stayed until 3:30. We were able to see the whole zoo in that amount of time. My only complaint is how they charged for everything after paying $20 to get in. Then it was extra to park, ride the train, ride the camels, feed the giraffe (average... More

The era of the zoo has seen its day come and go. Its time to stop breeding programs and release animals from captivity into sanctuaries. With that being said they do try to educate at this zoo and do seem to have a loving staff.

A lot of the exhibits were closed or didn't have animals in them.. Camel ride was closed, Giraffe feeding was closed.. 2 hours before closing, the concession booths were closed. Not impressed with the zoo at all.

I have been going to the Knoxville Zoo since I was around 4 years old. I have always has amazing memories going there. It has changed some since the last time I came. They are definitely expanding, and I think for the better. I am excited to see this new Asian area they are making at the front of the... More

First things first: if you live close by, I'd go ahead and buy season tickets. Not only can you enjoy the zoo and splash pad all summer long, but you get in for free or a discounted price at other zoos and aquariums across the country. You also get a discount at the food courts. The zoo is continuously improving... More

Visited the Knoxville Zoo with the family and had a pretty good time. Zoo is small compared to others I have visited in the past but still had a good time. Some of the exhibits are obviously older and need to be updated and upgraded but they are currently building new areas to the zoo.

Was a nice trip. Enjoyed the zoo. Liked that the animals was easy to see and that it had great things for the little ones. He loved the water slash pad! The park was very clean and staff was friendly. Took about 3 and a half hours to go through.mthat is taking your time and letting the kids play. Was... More
