Handicap accessible. Fun place to get wet, center fountain jets are high pressure, so be careful, also, remove all rings and/glasses because you will lose them

We went here while in Knoxville, and there was a gospel music type festival going on. My six year old daughter LOVED the playground. She could have spent all night there. There was a very delicious snow cone type vendor by the amphitheater for the festival. We also enjoyed the trip up the Sunsphere to check out the city.

Built for the 1982 World's Fair this beautiful park has water spouts shooting out of the ground for kids to play in, a nice lawn for picniking, a man made river and falls bordering a seated concert area and the sun sphere that is free to go up in for nice views.

This is a nice place to do a little walking downtown. Good view from the upper floor and place to rest.

What a nice asset for Knoxville. This park is lovely and is a nice place to spend a few hours. Parking signage is lacking but once you figure it out, there is plenty of free parking. The War Memorial is very nice and the fountains beautiful. Adults and children alike will enjoy playing in the water. The tower sphere offers... More

We brought our daughter and her four kids here (ages 14, 12, 9, and 7) and they really enjoyed it. They liked the playground, which was small but had fun stuff (most involved climbing). Be warned: shady benches are few, and are quickly taken. The kids also liked the splash pad, but the water was very chlorined and a daycare... More

I spent here the 4th of July celebration, the park is not so big but is was a lot going on. It was clean and everything was in its place. The fireworks were awesome. Besides being a historic site it is nice to tale walks.

We didn't get to go to the visitors center as it was closed at the time but this park is so green and pretty. There are water features like a huge splash fountain bigger and better than Chattanooga's Coolidge fountain and water steps you can put your feet in near the outdoor amphitheatre. There was even a free concert going... More

The park is very nice. The grounds are kept up superbly. Lots of people just strolling and talking. It is a nice place to get away if you are in the city.
