We moved to Knoxville 2017 and ventured into the tower during the following summer. Great views, walking areas and the memorial for each war. I recommend seeing all of this great area

Be prepared to be amazed at the giant ball of Tennessee! You'll be shocked, surprised, (hell, you might even fall in love!). You get to see the great downtown area of Knoxville, from a giant golden ball, gleaming over the earth like a giant alien...More

Take the elevator to Level 4 and enjoy a 360 degree view of the city and surrounding countryside. On a clear day you can see probably 40 or more miles. It's free and open from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm. Then visit the Convention Center...More

The ride in the elevator was a bit shaky, but worth it. The view from the observation deck was great with information along the walk. We'll have to go again in spring or summer for a different view.

Not much of a view. Some interpretive signage with area information. Windows don’t provide a very good view because of the gold coating. Don’t make a special trip, park grounds are more interesting than the dome.
