Beautiful hiking, strolling, or having a picnic. Plenty of flowering plants, a picturesque display of sunflowers, nice walking trails. We have taking the little one there and it's easy on the stroller.

Ijams has a variety of activities for everyone in the family. There is a rope course, bike and walking paths, exhibits, and a quarry offering paddle boarding/canoeing, etc. Often different events are sponsored with speakers on a number of subjects related to nature and outdoors. It is very family friendly and provides inexpensive or free entertainment.

So close to downtown but a whole different world. The Navitat obstacle course/zip lining was fun. Good friendly staff. Go visit.

Ijams has everything to offer. From casual walker, to urban explorer, you can find it at Ijams. Their nature trail is beautiful and takes you along an elevated walkway over the Tennessee River. The Quarry trail takes you by the quarry (duh), and they have multiple bike trails and opportunities for kayaking. Tons of fun.

We walked the trail, it was a wonderful experience. It was down hilly initially and levels out when you walk along the lake. Then it really is uphill. The view is nice. We missed the experience of walking in the tree tops make sure its open before you go.

Good place to start a bike ride, walk, or run. About 3.5 miles of asphalt path & much more gravel & dirr trails.
