Had a great time hiking the trails in Timberland Park. So quite and serene but also very dark…the canopy is very thick here. Was about a two-mile hike taking many of the offshoot trails but not too difficult. The trails are very well maintained and marked and it looks like they do extensive maintenance to keep the trails safe. Great little spot off the Natchez Trace to spend a few hours and relax.

Love the trails at the Timberland.
The hike are easy to moderate, the views are beautiful all year around. The trails are well maintained and secure. Take the dog, the kids and just enjoy the place.

Looking forward to seeing Timberland. But was very disappointed as nothing there a few pigs two rabbits the area not well kept and very expensive 75 peso to get in. I think 20 peso is enough. Went to Wawa last week and 20 peso to enter. Which was a lot better. So for the bad review. But you must look after your place

Did a Day Hike of the Natchez Trace Mile Markers from 437 to 400. Wonderful time as I started at Timberland Park where the receptionist was very helpful and they even loan you these hand-carved wooden trail sticks. Nice! The trails there are short to medium length in nature but you can combine a few to get you the miles needed. Very well kept trails but they somehow managed to not disturb nature around it...awesome! And then on to my next stops on the Trace ending with Jackson Falls (mile marker 404). There were about 6 trails, and 3 overlooks, 2 historic buildings and 1 waterfall in between) that I stopped or viewed. It was awesome! 4to5-ish hrs total from home to adventure and back home.

I stopped here on a whim and was delighted to find the pleasant and knowledgeable staff at the interpretive center. Art showed me the different trails offered in this park and what to look for. He asked me how long I was planning to hike and suggested the trails I should choose. This is a very nice trail-head center. I enjoyed my short hike and will definitely be back with the family to discover all of the other trails! I'm excited about this!!!!

Today we skipped the Black Friday mall traffic and steered toward the great outdoors. It was a perfect day for a three mile hike along the ridge top and valleys near the Natchez Trace Parkway Bridge in Franklin TN.
The multiple routes that crisscross the terrain are week groomed and marked. The fall’s mat of deep leaf covered part of the trail — but it was still pretty evident the direction you needed to follow.
Just minutes from Historic Franklin — yet miles from civilization. Can’t wait to get back.

Nice trails, mostly short but intersect each other so easy to make loops to suit your ability. Also has an accessible trail and benches to watch birds. The day we were there several hummingbirds were seen at the flower garden just in front of the visitor center. This is a county park but it's along the Natchez Trace Parkway so easier to add to your NP visit.

This is a great county park in the middle of Natchez Trace Parkway. It didn't show up on my original map, but so happy we turned in. Helpful Park rangers, clean facilities, and a great park. Hikes can be a few steps to 3 miles, with varying degrees of difficulty. It has a walk to a good hike...something for everyone! Beautiful.

We love this section of the Trace, the elevated areas give great views and the bridge crossing hwy 96 is a great architectural placement.
This tells you the history of the area while offering a refreshing place to stop and depending on temperature, place to stretch your legs a bit. Be warned, the short walk is nice but watch out for the hornets!

This is only about 10 miles west of downtown Franklin off of the Natchez Parkway. It's a hike throughout a canopy of trees so, even on hot summer days, you can still stay relative cool.
