So many small towns "tout" themselves. Franklin really has the right to do so. it is Alive and Kicking!!! Dominated by old Southern charm and independent businesses with just the right mix of commercial familiarity (Mellow Mushroom, Starbucks). There are a mix of venues of trendy restaurants and cocktail bars. If you are heading to Nashville, do not miss this... More

Did you know that Justin Bieber shot one of his Christmas videos in Franklin, Tennessee? Well, he did and there's a reason. The town is quaint, adorable, and easily walked in one afternoon. Most of the shops are local and there are very few chains. Nearly all of the restaurants are worth stopping in, particularly the Red Pony, Puckett's Grocery,... More

A very nice stroll through downtown Franklin will give you all the nostalgia you want. The memorial at the Public Square is very impressive, yet also a little sad to read what was the mindset of the people there at the time, as that is what they fought and died for. Makes you appreciate the freedom we all have now.

Charming area not far from Nashville. Filled with unique shops and restaurants, with a mix of chain stores thrown in as well. Parking is free for up to 4 hours and there are several tours you can take to walk to historic places. Best part is the Franklin Theatre, which shows recent movies, musical acts and plays.

A lot of the shops have arts and crafts from local artists, there is free live music on weekends in several restaurants, the old cinema is working, and it's just plain charming. Parking is free and abundant.

I can definitely see why Franklin, Tennessee is one of America's favorite small towns! The downtown Franklin is a wonderful place for food, shopping, or for just walking around with your significant other! Highly recommend going during Christmas time to see it decorated, also visit when "Dicken's Christmas" is going on, lots of vendors, food, and people dressed up as... More

Downtown Franklin is good for adults because of the Atmosphere of the historic buildings and great shops. It's good for kids because of Sweet Cici's and candy stores. It's a quiet place to spend a few hours, but the streets do get crowded on the weekends and summers! There Are many great restaurants on the main drag. Also a good... More

Sunday morning was probably not the best time to tour the town of Franklin, but the shops, churches, and restaurants are maintained in a very attractive manner and we found them interesting and photo worthy. Franklin is a small town with friendly people and you will feel comfortable and welcome.
