We came to this park all the way from Springfield, IL specifically because we are geocachers, and this park happens to be home to Tennessee's oldest geocache, hidden here in 2001. Geocaching is an outdoor adventure activity using GPS coordinates to find containers hidden all around the world.
What a beautiful park! The wooden walkways through the swampy area are such a cool way for people to be able to enjoy nature without getting sopping wet and muddy. I would definitely frequent this park if we lived in the area. We had a great time hunting down the geocache and taking our dog for a nice walk. Thank you so much to the Collierville Park District and all who help to beautify and maintain this beautiful place.

We visit this park all seasons, but spring time makes it even more beautiful. There are play parks and soccer fields for kids to play. Great place for a relaxing evening or trail walk. There is something for everyone to do there.

W.C.Johnson Park has almost anything you want. It has baseball fields, two artificial turf fields for football, soccer, Lacrosse, or any other outdoor sport. It has a small lake for fishing as well as a nature trail to the Wolf River. It has kids playground including an outstanding one designed for children with special needs. There is a water spray place within the park that will be limited to residents this next year. It is well-maintained and perfect for whatever outdoor recreation needs you have.

Just an FYI for anyone who doesnt live in collierville and want to go to the splash pad area in this park....we are not allowed. You will be sent to Suggs park downtown. We found this out the hard way and had to explain to an excited 4 year old boy we couldn't play there

Today I happened upon this fabulous park right off New Byhalia Road. I just happen upon this park as I was picking my granddaughter from West Collierville Middle. If you follow New Byhalia Road it dead end to WC Johnson Park there to the left. It has a pond/lake walking trails and plenty of things to do outside. When I’m in the area picking up or dropping off ...I’m going to go by there and walk those trails!

Johnson park provides many opportunities to get up close and personal with nature. The baseball, soccer and artificial turfed all purpose fields are all normally very well maintained and accessible. There is a very nice walking trail that is part of the Shelby County greenbelt and extends down through the Wolf River bottoms offering scenic views of local plants and wildlife. There is a decent playground and water park for the little ones. Fishing is surprisingly decent in the lakes, probably not going to catch a record but you can have fun. The park is clean and well maintained.

Well built long walk in the woods - this is an add on to the park that is in a bustling community. There is a lot of activity at the park with sports and games. There is usually a police presence there, so I don't worry too much about safety there - - - however, there are a lot of people. The actual walk on the wooden walkway goes on for ever and can be romantic. Bring bug screen because you can't be too careful. There are a lot of people with animals leashed and if you have nothing to do, this is kinda fun - not necessarily a bucket list item.

Amazing park with tons to do. The playground is one of the best in the mid-south they have a boardwalk trail that goes all the way to the wolf river. There is plenty of geocaches in this park also. Great place for great times!
