The reviews are hit & miss, so I didn't know what to expect. Place was the most awesome petting zoo I've ever been too. Animal variety was good, and you can get up close--closer than most places to the animals. They have a few different options on feed bucket sizes. There's a few different monkeys, lemurs, birds, wallabies, kangaroos, deer,... More

This is not a metropolis zoo so don't go in expecting that. They do let you get up close to a variety of animals, and there is more variety that we expected. Out only negative experience is when my wife tried to feed the ostrich it was very aggressive and nipped her hand leaving a big blood blister. You can't... More

I went with my 2, 4, and 8 year old children. They really enjoyed feeding the animals. You get to feed and touch many of the animals. My daughter especially enjoyed feeding the kangaroo and camels. If you really love interacting with animals then you'll like this place. It is very basic and is rather small. Don't expect a full... More

This is a gem. Probably the best kept secret (but not for long) in East Tennessee. If you're looking for a fun day for the kids, young and old, a place to have a really cool Birthday party for the little ones, pony rides, and a picnic without going into debt, here's your place. The pathway is paved and easily accessible... More

Feeding the animanals was the most fun to me. I loved the camels! They are very gentle as far as taking food from your hand, all the animals were. My daughter enjoyed her pony ride and the baby goats. I highly recommend it.

Several senior adults visited this Zoo. We walked around in the barn where many of the animals were. We walked around the property to see the antelopes, goats, sheep, donkeys, and other four legged pasture animals. They looked happy and we were also. We picnicked under a covered area with tables. In the first barn we were in, we saw... More

I've been to bigger zoos, with more animals, more exotic species, larger staffs, little trains, Disney-like features, etc. I haven't been to one I enjoyed more. Perhaps it was just my mood. I've taken my grandchildren to the Little Ponderosa three times and each time was different than taking my kids to the Denver, Atlanta, or even Knoxville Zoo when... More
