We read about this in another Trip Advisor review, but it took a trip to the visitors center to find out how to get there. Don't get it confused with Raccoon Mountain Caverns. On a clear day, there is a great view from the East...More

We were driving around and found this by accident. Was very interesting. The attendant was very knowledgable and explained the history to us. She was very nice. wish I would have gotten her name.

Beatiful view from the top and no crowds. The maps of how big the TVA is and how the Raccoon Dam works to generate electricity was interesting.

This is a great area to get away from traffic to ride a road bike, a mountain bike, to run on the road or to run on the trails. Lots of nice views from up here.
