We paid $110.00 for the Polar Express ride. We had a very short trip, they had a North Pole display but we didn't even get to get off the train we were only able to look at it from our windows. We were served warm chocolate milk (out of a box) and a little Debbie cookie. They said it was... More

I was surprised at what a first class experience this was. All the railroad personnel are dressed in period dress and are extremely knowledgeable and courteous. We were on the observation car and we were pampered incredibly. Breakfast and Dinner was good, and service was impeccable. I love that the train let us off and did a run-by so we... More

On the Saturday that we were planning to go, the RR was booked, so we got tickets for the next day. We all loved it, grandparents, parents and 3 year old grandson! The trip on the train was delightful, but the most exciting thing was to see it turn around and head back. The engine disengages from the train and... More

There is no views of any pretty trees/land. It's of poor trashy back yards. Summerville has only about 3 stores to pop in and certainly not worth the hour visited. We paid for the pullman car and it was not what we thought. Poor window visiability and hard seats, although private. Choose the cheap seats on this one as they... More

The train ride was great. Took the Missionary Ridge Local which was a nice, short trip. People on the train were helpful and informative. I had called before coming though and the person on the phone was very short, talked loudly, and was very clearly eating during the phone call. It seemed like I was bothering them by calling and... Took Missionary Ridge Local trip. Took about an hour round trip, very informative and not bad for a quick thing to do. Kids liked it and its always nice to hear area history.

Nice quick trip through a beautiful countryside. Interesting facts about train and area. Very cool demonstration of how they turn the lead engine around to change directions of the train.

The total trip was 6 miles round trip. You might have more interest if your a train buff. However, it is for any age, especially children. If you have never been on a train ride this is perfect. You can view the train station at your leisure. Take your time. The train runs on schedules, however there at least 4... More
