Very interesting ride to top. They have tape narrative details and facts about rail. At the top you can see cables. Go on upper levels to lookout.

We start with having to pay to park. Asked the lady at the ticket counter about it and she barked she knew nothing. No personality and right then my husband was ready to turn around and leave. Since we already had the tickets we preceded...More

My sister and I got a ticket bundle for Ruby Falls, Rock City, and the Incline Railway. We went to Rock City and were already at the top of the mountain. So we boarded the incline railway at the top of the mountain. We waited...More

My 7 year old thought this was the coolest thing ever. Personally, I wasn't as impressed. It was neat but I didn't feel like it was worth the money and think one time was enough.

This was our second stop after visiting Ruby Falls. This is billed as the steepest railway in the world and quite a feat of engineering in the early 20th century. We had parked at the top and road down. You could also board it at...More

If you are afraid of heights this might not be for you. Very fun...but if there is a long wait at the botttom, you are going to have a long wait at the top.

Nice ride up the incline for all ages. Nice views. Lines move fairly quickly. We bought combo tickets for 3 places in the area. Stop at Clumpie’s afterwards for ice cream - next to incline entrance.

The wait time to go up and down the incline is ridiculous. We waited probably 2 hours total without notification. Then once we got to the top, there was just a shop and junk food (like hot dogs, candy bars, cookies and cakes and stuff)...More
