Driving up and down the mountain (as is with most mountains) is a little gut-wrenching, but worth the view. You can see 6-7 states (depending upon which part you are standing upon). On a clear day, the view is awesome. It is probably even more amazing in the Fall.

Was far more interested in these two than Rock City and Ruby Falls - not disappointed. The B of C/C is privately owned and operated, not touristy, and reflects the investors' love of the topic! Well done! The Point is National Park Service run and very worthwhile. (One of the few places in town with details about the Native American... More

This was a lot of fun! My girls weren't to enthusiastic at first. But once we started moving through the caves and caverns they loved it. They are 19 and 17.

Just take your time and enjoy the views. I would go early, it is less crowded and you'll have more time to look around at your leisure.

A mountain just outside of Chattanooga that does not look that imposing. When you take the narrow curvy road to the top it turns out to be pretty amazing.Just the drive is worth the trip. I suppose not too many people venture out on that road on a wintry day but there are not that many in that part of the... More

Super neat visit. Kids loved the fairy tale knights and the knight training. The fairy tale characters were fun

We recently stayed in a tiny house perched on the edge of Lookout Mountain [Live a Little Chatt]. Amazing views kept us outside on a beautiful spring weekend. Lookout Mountain is a lovely place to savor nature and breathtaking views.

There are plenty of precious homes, gardens, parks and things to see in the area. If you have your own car, take your time.

Visited Lookout Mountain during our family trip 2017 to Florida. I haven't been here since I was a kid and it was a pleasure watching my kids climb all over the rocks or walk thought the caves that I walked through when I was a kid. Lookout Mountain is a pretty cool place that you should definitely visit if given... More
