Rock City

If you want to admire God's Creation, definitely you have to go to Rock City. Beautiful place although you really have to walk.

Lookout Mountain is a fund place to explore. There is Ruby Falls, Rock City, Point Park, and the Incline. Also if you continue on into the Georgia side of Lookout Mountain there is hang gliding and Cloudland State Park. The neighborhood is beautiful and there are lots of places to wall and just enjoy nature. Dining is limited, but there... More

Wonderful views had a fantastic day on the mountain a must do when visiting Chattanooga. So much to see and do the incline railway, Ruby Falls, The Rock Garden and look at the houses while driving to these locations absolutely awesome. Would recommend doing the incline railway from the bottom as there is more to do at the top than... More

The road is narrow and winding, especially towards the top, but the payoff of the view mis certainly well worth the drive up! Stop in at the National Park Visitor Center and pay the fee (unless you have a pass) of a couple dollars to be able to access the small park and memorials overlooking Chattanooga. Breathtaking!

Lookout mountain is pretty awesome. We drive up both days we were in town and the drive is pretty and the area is great. I could see myself living here... Even saw a house for sale on Cinderella Lane... Hmmm

Buy the combo ticket to see the three main attractions- Ruby Falls, Rock City and the Incline. It won't take all day, but the views are stunning and unique. It's worth the visit.

Lookout Mountain in general has a bunch of attractions. We visited Ruby Falls and Rock City - both of which were spectacular. Rock City is a beautiful set of trails/rock gardens around a lookout area where you potentially see 7 states. Lover's leap is flat out amazing and the entire experience was as well. On the way to Lover's leap... More

The beauty of this place is breathtaking and magical! It is like no place we have ever been full of beautiful rock formations, swinging bridges, beautiful look outs, and tight squeezes. My teenage daughters and I felt like we were in a magical world. The fairytale caverns helps to add to the ambience-it is full of black light fairytale characters... More

Although not very obvious for a visitor (as most folks are directed by the billboards to drive up to Ruby Falls and then further up the mountain), it is possible to hike to the top both from Chattanooga city side and from Reflection Riding arboretum. Each trail has a couple of access points. If you start further away on the... More

Driving up and down the mountain (as is with most mountains) is a little gut-wrenching, but worth the view. You can see 6-7 states (depending upon which part you are standing upon). On a clear day, the view is awesome. It is probably even more amazing in the Fall.
