It was nice going back to see the aquarium. The last time I went was about 10-15 years ago so it was neat to see it again as an adult. Our favorite exhibit hall was the Oceans. The way it was set up and the...More

We took our 9 year old and 13 year old to the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga. I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much since we live near Atlanta, and I thought that the Georgia Aquarium was suppose to be the best. The Tennessee Aquarium was...More

We spent a fantastic day at the Tennessee Aquarium on December 27. Our family was visiting Chattanooga for the first time, and absolutely loved the Aquarium exhibits and the beautiful property on the water. Highlights of our trip were the Salt Water tanks, the butterfly...More

Volunteers friendly, not crowded (we went early on a weekday), well described and detailed accounts next to each exhibit. I learned so much and had fun, too.

The aquarium is beautifully done in stages with river life dominating. Unfortunately, we had promised the kids they would see sharks. Though there were a few ocean life creatures, it was a very limited display. We tried to emphasize the giant fish of the river,...More

I've been to this aquarium several times and it's one of the best I've been to. I have visited others, but the Tennessee Aquarium allows you to spend as much time as you want to in there so there's no rushing you through.

We came from Atlanta and I have to admit that this aquarium gives the Atlanta one a run for its money. It is deceptively quite large with stunning views when you first go up the escalator. My son 4 year old son enjoyed not only...More

Informative talks almost every half hour. The IMAX movie was fantastic - we saw the Amazon. Loved, loved, loved all the jellyfish and the indoor butterfly exhibit. I saw many of the little kids enjoying touching the stingrays. I personally am opposed to that for...More
