This aquarium is okay. It has two buildings, but it lacks punch. There is nothing special about it. We moved here from Denver and their aquarium is much smaller, but much better. The layout isn't good in the salt water building and the other building is like a big fish tank. I think quality is better than quantity when it... More

This aquarium definitely is worth the visit when in Chatanooga. The Ocean exhibition is OK but the fresh water one definitely leaves you with a new standard. It took us almost 3 hours to see it all and the displays seems to be endless. Be aware that there is a lot of walk. I went with my 3 kids and... More

The Chattanooga Aquarium is awesome! We've been several times and learn and see new things each time. This is an excellent learning experience and just plain fun.

This aquarium has two separate buildings, one for freshwater life and one for seawater life. Since I'm from the Great Lakes region, I wasn't super fascinated with the freshwater side. Though it was neat seeing the different types of fish native to Tennessee and the surrounding states. I was more fascinated with the seawater side. They had lots of seahorses... More

As a resident of the Chattanooga area, I have been to the Tennessee Aquarium many times. Every time someone visits the Aquarium goes on the agenda. It is a great combination of visual beauty and education about the magic of water and the creatures who live there. The seahorses, dancing jellyfish, the otters and penguins are all favorites; but it... More

A great way to spend an afternoon with family. It is a top notch Aquarium. The Backstage river pass is fun as is the ocean tour. It is the perfect place for a large family group to spend a cold or hot afternoon. Convenient downtown location.

No matter who comes to town, the Tennessee Aquarium pleases all ages and interests. Perfectly set on the Tennessee River, the Aquarium features birds, reptiles, amphibians as well as fish. I have visited many times over the years with friends an visitors and the aquarium never fails to enthrall.

We take all of our out of town visitors to the Aquarium. Several of them commented they hadn't been before because they didn't have children to take. Now they see that you don't have to have children with you in order to have a wonderful day there. We like to watch the penguins and the otters. And we always make... More
