Throw back to the 50s/60s when road travel hit a peak. Would have to say it's really more of a tourist trap than anything else. Would stop for the cafeteria food, beyond that, it's a lot of fanfare and jacked up pricing.

Driving across South Dakota we have seen the Wall Drug advertisements, billboards and offerings. So why not, let's Stop! Food, souvenirs, boots, books and more. Even had an animated T-Rex! Parking was easy, even with a 5th wheel. Even if you don't find anything to...More

Interesting to see. Not up to all the hype and large number of billboards. We did find a good bookstore there that specialized in Western History and bought a few books.

Don't bother if you dont have kids or have nothing else to do. There are tons of ad-boards on the highway hundreds of miles but this area is designed for tourist to waste money :). There isnt much that is original or that old-time charm.

Yes, despite the bothersome signs for miles, you have to stop and quench your curiosity. There is a little something here for everyone. Take the time and stay about 90 minutes to see the entire place!

It's a "tourist trap" but who cares it's fun! Good place to stretch your legs, thankfully it was the off season so it wasn't packed.

We spent time walking around and very surprised with all the variety of merchandise they had. They have a courtyard with loads of props for photo ops, game room for kids, clothes, toys, books, jewelry. Nice selection.

Being so large, there are many options for reasonably priced souvenirs, food, and photos. Because we spent $50, we were offered a nice reuseable souvenir bag. The most interesting part was the wall of historic photos of the area located in the area behind the...More

Basically right across the interstate. (7.6 miles or 11 minutes) The drive through the Badlands returns via the Interstate. It is a great drive.

We went through 2 times about 8 days apart and never experienced that. No real problems besides the crowds but it was peek tourist season.
