When you are in Spearfish, be sure to visit the D.C. Booth Fish Hatchery. Spend time getting close to the fish and walk through the grounds and historic buildings. Kids will enjoy feeding the ducks and fish and climbing on the old trains.

My very favorite place to visit in Spearfish. Great for families, couples, or friends. Fun to walk through and see the fish and ducks. Nice little walk and great museum. Right by Spearfish City Park

For about 20 minutes you can walk around this area and learn a lot about Brown and Rainbow Trout and how they are cared for/ raised in this area. Cool place.

This is much more like a park than the normal Fish Hatchery. The grounds are manicured, there are many things to do - feed the fish, feed the ducks, go through the museum but most interesting is the rail car to carry fish. The volunteer...More

We had been to this site about 20 years ago and wanted to go back. We went on a rainy day and found it just as memorable! All volunteers working were very friendly and personable. Very interesting place to see!
