Beware, the sactuary no longer exists. We took a special ride to find this, thinking it would be a fun experience. After a long, twisting ride through some dirt roads, we find the original location with a small sign indicating it is no longer open.

I went by yesterday and was really disappointed to find that the sanctuary is no longer open and the gate was locked.

of course there are animals native to the Black Hills, but there are also tigers and lions! The kids will talk about this stop long after you've driven away.

We would have liked to have seen this, but because of the excessive heat, they had closed the place and were trying to keep the animals comfortable.
