The downtown Rapid City main streets is well landscaped with well kept hanging flower baskets and pleasant hedge and flower street corners. Most corners downtown have statues of United States presidents which add to the historic interest. You can hop on a trolley at most...More

This area of Rapid City offers more coffee houses, unusual restaurants, and cultural attractions than almost anywhere else. From excellent coffee and breakfast selections, to a delightful Nepali-Thai-Indian restaurant that was a delicious surprise, to a Tandy leather store, an enjoyable used book shop, and...More

The city of Rapid City has a prosperous downturn area. There are numerous statues of the American Presidents on street corners.

There are presidential statues on most every corner in the downtown area. There is also a splash pad. We visited a rooftop restaurant.

Downtown Rapid City was one of this trip’s pleasant surprises. Lovely with sculptures, quaint shops and a plaza.

Parking was easy. Shops were interesting. Issue w some locals drinking on street. No problems noticed in area. Hotel Alex Johnson had quality shop inside and great architecture.

It's a must!! And I would love to see them in the winter when the locals add scarves and hats and gloves-to be taken by those who need them! What a great idea!!

We walked around quite a bit. There are a lot of interesting shops, restaurants and even a few bookstores. The statues of the presidents are exceedingly interesting and well done
