Neat little stop to break up the roadtrip

Really cool stop on our way out west. Needed to stretch our legs and what a cool place to do it. The old saloon was really neat and you could go upstairs for a nice view. If you... read more

My girlfriend and I stopped by there in late June on a Harley trip. I had been by there 40 times on hunting trips but never stopped. Now we can't tell enough people about how neat it was to go thru the town and read about all the history of that area. Whenever someone asks my girlfriend (Tracy), about our... More

Great for a stroll after sitting for a long time in a car. It didn´t really interest me that much but my husband enjoyed it a lot. You can see some of the props used for the movie dancing with wolves.

Really cool stop on our way out west. Needed to stretch our legs and what a cool place to do it. The old saloon was really neat and you could go upstairs for a nice view. If you have and hour or two to kill, this is worth the stop.

We came upon this place accidentally, and spent a couple of hours there. It was very interesting, and a relaxing break from our road trip. Lots of buildings, some animals and even a train! It was relaxing and fun. We took a ton of pictures.

I have been to many old western town museums, this is by far the best and most realistic i have ever seen. The Dancing with wolves exhibit is incredible, as is the rest of the town!

Dropped by this place on my way through South Dakota on our ways to the Badlands. This preserved town gives you a unique change to go 140 years back in time and seeing something you won't see anywhere else.

This is a nice place to get a feel for how towns were set up in the Plains. This is also the setting for scenes in "Dancing with Wolves". Many of the buildings are open so it not just looking through windows. There is also a section (above the main lobby) with props from the movie displayed. The price is... More

Interesting place to walk through and take you back in time. It felt like we actually were living in the 1880's. We could walk in all of the buildings in the town at our own speed, taking in as much of the history as we wished. This is a wonderful collection of artifacts to remind us of what life was... More

We literally drove up on this. Didn't have this on our "itinerary". I'm from the southwest & obsessed with the old West & westerns. I would've moved into this town if I could. My husband & I had a blast it has movie props from Dances with wolves. It literally looks like a movie set from the old West. The... More

We really enjoyed it. $10 for several hours of being whisked back in time. They have so many buildings you can explore at your leisure. During the summer you may dress up in period costumes for a nominal fee. Upstairs in the main building, they have props from the movie Dances with Wolves. I would go again in a few... More
