This is a nice little museum that is authentic and gives you a great perspective of the ancient creatures that roamed the earth. They have many real skeletal remains as well as reproductions. WE really enjoyed the visit.

We ended up with some time on our hands on a recent visit to Hill City and decided to follow the advice of others on tripadvisor.com to see this place. What a good decision it was! The attendant at the ticket counter was charming, knowledgble,...More

We almost skipped this little place and we're sure we didn't! The staff was so helpful and knowledgeable, with great, easy senses of humor. They were very patient with our many questions. The fossil and mineral collections were way more extensive and superior than we'd...More

Its fairly small size-wise, but there is a lot packed in here! Great exhibits, even with "just" the one room it will take some time to see everything. Loved it Great gift shop too

Not by way of the front entrance, since there is a flight of stairs to go up. Call and ask if there a handicapped entrance. And yes, there's a narrow walkway once in the museum but it would be ok for wheelchair.

I think it was $7 a person to get in to the museum part. The gift shop, where you actually enter the building, is free.
