I have to tell you that was the most fun walking through time. There are so many quaint shops and saloons. There is an actual gun fight everyday. You will not be sorry if you visit this trip into the old west.

The historic old town is really a series of casinos. There are some interesting buildings but the modern takes over.

Find somewhere to park and walk through the downtown area. Many historic buildings, shops, saloons and places to eat.

I will say the main street architecture was very interesting, but all of the casinos ruined it for me. Most of the buildings were casinos and tourist shops. At least we went when the town wasn't crowded so we could enjoy the architecture. It is...More

Not being a gambling type, the number of casinos was not too important, but I did enjoy the fact that so much of the old architecture is still in place. It is quite fun to imagine what things might have been like 140 years ago.

This was one of our better decisions on our cross country trip. What a exciting vibe this town has. It's a must see while in S. Dakota

We went here and started at the visitors center and talked about what we could do with the kids here. Not a lot other than being a tourist and walking the shops. Most places have kids menus for eating but this is not a place...More
