We visited the Mine in August whilst staying in Deadwood. We walked from town which took us 20 minutes. It was an interesting tour if you have an hour to kill.

In a touristy town, this is a tourist stop for sure. But it's a fairly good one. I agree with other reviewers that it's a little bit pricey (we didn't do the gold panning though). However, we had one member of our family that really...More

This was one of the better mine tours I have experienced and I would recommend it, the only issue I had was that I needed to spend more time in the mine reading the signs displayed throughout the mine, but was moved on along with...More

Great tour of a real mine, just the right length for kids. You get to walk through a real mine and hear about the miners only using candles to light their way and ate lunch in the dark.

This is a fun little tour of a old gold mine. You get to walk though the mine seeing how they use to mine by candle light or old lanterns using a chisel and hammer.

Wheelchairs have gone through the mine. The first door is too small to accommodate but you can carry the chair up the stairs and fold it through the doorway and it will fit through the mine.

We have a variety of reactions to the mine. Most people know within the first 10 feet whether or not they can continue. If someone is unable to continue with the tour, we offer a full refund. We encourage everyone to give it... More
