Our quick weekend trip to Walterboro lead us to discover Colleton State Park. We went hiking twice here during our stay. We loved the paved paths, it made walking on the crunchy fall leaves even more fun! We saw a few interesting things on our hike, like a bat house! We never thought of having one of those before, huge... More

We gathered three families to camp over the Thanksgiving holiday this year and had an amazing time. The park is small, but if you're into kayaking or looking for a quiet weekend, this is terrific. There is a small nature trail, playground and kayak/canoe launch on-site. There is also a small store that sells ice/firewood, tshirts, etc. We had a... More

This is a small park but a nice place to go and relax. There is a playground for the kids, and the river is close by to do some kayaking, boating, or fishing. On a side note and think this park as well as others needs to limit the number or barking dogs that can be on a site. There... More

A small park that tends to be completely booked since the locals love the place. We had a 20 ft travel trailer that would fit nicely in any space. Some of the larger RVs had difficulty manuvering the only road in the park due to trees and tight turns. Limited activities but if you like kayaking or canoeing this is... More

I'm not sure there is enough to do here to merit camping, but it's a nice little stop-over for a short hike in the woods along the river and maybe a picnic lunch at one of the shelters. So, if you're heading down I-95 and have some time for a wayside stop, check it out.

This park was very clean.Ranger very nice. Nice camping wish there was more walking trails though. The park was small.I thought much bigger then it was and really not a good spot to put your kayaks in.

Set on the Edisto River, this little park has camping sites, bath houses, and deep water access for canoeing and kayaking.

We were here in January, so definitely out of peak season. The campground, however, did not seem to know that. It wasn't a no vacancy, but it was packed, which has a lot to do with the facilities, the access to the river, and the extras in this area. This park features a playground, a small nature trail, a campground... More
