Love coming to this beach! Not as crowded as IOP and Folly, and most definitely nicer than Folly. Feels like I'm on a private beach when I visit.

After reading previous reviews about Sullivan's Island Beach, I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm glad I made the short drive to this tucked away gem. This beach and get crowded very quickly and there is no public parking that I could find which can...More

We found the public access by accident after dinner. The warning signs scream danger but the area was very calm and relaxing. We watched a dozen wild hermit crabs tumble in with the waves and a school of dolphins played not far from the shore...More

We spend one lazy day here recently and were not at all disappointed. Parking can be tricky so pack a beach cart or some backpacks so you don't have to carry all your gear for several blocks. The beach space is huge and I will...More

We visited this beach with my daughter and her family. There is a cool boardwalk leading up from parking along the road. The beach is a long stretch with a great view of the surrounding area. Great for splashing in the waves especially with comfortable...More

It took quite a bit of walking to even get to the water once you hit the beach. The beach seems to go on forever with fine and silky sand. Come here for the sunset as we did - it seems like no one was...More

Beautiful place, again more walking. You have to go over a small lift bridge to get to the island. So be prepared to have to wait for the bridge to come back down. Peaceful place to walk around and watch the birds flying above the...More

Not as busy and happening as Folly but would be great if you want to get away from all the people. Can find free parking on the street. Great casual restaurants.

We stayed in mount pleasant but came here to check it out. Nice private beach. No houses or condos directly on the beach so it was nice and peaceful. Nice walk to the beach and we were surprised at how quite it was. Would love...More

The water was not blue. The sand was wet and packed. Not much dry sand on entire beach. A kid bought a adult sized shovel and I understood why. Charleston is alway windy so you wont get that perfection like a place like Jacksonville, Fl

I have not found any but I also park at station 23 so there could be more further down. I think most people have lunch either in the middle of their trip or right before so they use the restaurants bathroom.

Yes we have gone there in December and was able to wade in the water. Beautiful place. I like the Isle Of Palms better it has more restaurants. We always park by the lighthouse to access the beach.

There is swimming along most of the ocean facing beach. Stay clear of the far ends of the islands because of currents. You should try to plan your first visit at low tide to get a good understanding of the extent of the... More
