Stopped by to see how the park looked thinking of renting a cabin on the water. The cabins look really neat. Even the ones off the water. Doesn't look like there is much to do but the lake view would make it all worth while. I love scenic parks. You can take a tour of the lake through a boat... More

Santee State Park offers excellent cabin facilities and recreation opportunities on beautiful Lake Marion. The cost to stay is very reasonable and the location is right off I-95. For a break from everyday stresses, this is a good spot to drop out & chill.

Just a short drive from Santee we saw lots of deer, ducks and an extraordinary sunset. Makes for a nice break on a long trip. They do rent SUPs and kayaks at times. The park does have a day use fee.

Camped at Santee State Park 2 nights. Kayaked, paddled boarded and mountain biked on Saturday... No beach area for the kids to swim but found a beachy shore to swim beside the campground. The roads in the campground were the worst we've ever seen...rutted and pot holes were aweful. The sites are big and clean, water and electric provided. The... More

I was in Campground spot 37. I had a fantastic view and vantage point of the entire campground. I was close to 2 bathhouses, and trash disposal was convenient. There weren't nuisance critters like some other parks, but I kept belongings and trash secure just in case. All the staff is encountered were genuinely kind. I hope to get back... More

We stayed at Santee from April 13th to 20th/2016. I had just recently retired and wanted to go away on great adventure! We have a motorcycle so wanted to go somewhere warm yet not too far to drive. Thought of Myrtle Beach but the area was too touristy for us so research found Santee State Park. The location close off... More

Fishing, camping, and swamp tours available. Great place to go and relax. The small store has a lounge with board games and a great view of the lake.

I didn't spend a lot of time here, and the shop by the fishing pier was closed, as was the visitor center (I was here around 5pm on a weekday). It seems very well maintained and the cabins and campground appear very nice.

Awesome walking trails! This is a large park with lots to see and do. They do need to repair the road and get the back camp ground opened back up.
