Jocassee Lake tours – JLT Kayak and falls hike When a bunch of us decided to do a Jocassee Lake Tour(JLT) Kayak tour we really did not know what to expect. Things to bring: beach towel, good hiking or water shoes with soft flexible rubber type soles, water and drinks ( JLT provides water as well), snacks, lunch, change of... More

Four of us took the 4 hrs tour of waterfalls, dams, trees, granite walls, beautiful homes and a great guide that told a lot of the history of the Duke Dam.

We (4 adults) were on an evening cruise to see the full Harvest Moon on Sept. 16. We had a great time! The Captain and his sea fog Micah were great hosts and guides! He shared a lot of interesting information on the lake and was so cordial! We were able to swim in a lagoon, saw beautiful waterfalls and... More

What a wonderful tour. This tour company totally builds tour to your interests. Kay arrived with her dog Maya and we went swimming, rock climbing and swimming under waterfalls. She is extremely knowledgeable and knows Lake Jocassee, the Duke Energy story and the history of the area in and out. Not only is this worth the money, it should be... More

Lake Jocassee is gorgeous. Our boat driver, Brooks was fun, flexible and full of interesting information. There are a number of waterfalls you can visit on this tour - some you can walk behind. This is a great trip to take if a) you like to be out on a boat on a beautiful day in a stunning location, b)... More

Last July Brooks was our host. Last week Kay toured us around - including a magical hike up Thompson River in a heavy downpour! It was perfect. So was the beach near the dam. Clearest water I've seen anywhere. Can't wait to go back.

We had a wonderful day on the boat with Kay today. We scheduled a waterfall tour with the company, but didn't know we were going to have so much fun. The lake is beautiful . The water is clear, cool and clean. We enjoyed private coves, the not so private coves, the cliff jumps and sandy beaches. We were not... More

We knew very little about this part of South Carolina and, in particular, Lake Jocassee and the Gorges. All that changed last week when my wife and I, along with 10 or 12 other adventurers, toured the lower portion of the Lake with Kay at the helm of a tidy and well provisioned pontoon boat. We can think of few,... More

We've lost count but think this was our 6th annual trip with Jocassee Lake Tours. We always see something new and learn something new about the lake. And revisiting our favorite waterfalls and swimming holes is like seeing old friends. Jocassee is a beautiful lake and Jocassee Lake Tours is the best way to see it and appreciate it. Thanks,... The owners are very knowledgable of Lake Jocassee. You will enjoy your cruise tour and learn a lot. Your cruise could include swimming, waterfalls, wild flowers, wildlife, history of the lake. Many choices available, look them up on the net for specifics of cruises offered. We are going again in three weeks on a moonlight tour, can't wait.
