The church is stunning. It was very interesting to learn about the construction and see the history. We were only there about 10 minutes, but are glad we had the opportunity to see it! The area is simply stunning!

Glad we made a quick stop to check this place out. The ruins and Spanish moss covered trees surrounding it are just a great scenic view. Very interesting to check out. There's also a small graveyard and mausoleum on site too to look at also.

This place is easy to find, since it is right along a main road. I loved exploring the grounds and seeing the TABBY construction. The burial grounds are interesting, too.

Really pretty ruins but people were climbing all over them. The remains of the chapel are made of tabby and shouldn't be climbed all over. There should at least be a sign posted. Ruins are otherwise pretty and worth the stop.

This is the ruins of a church made of tabby...oyster shells and old fashioned cement. If you happen to drive by here, it is worth a couple of minutes....I would not go out of the way to see it..

Came across this great example of a tabby church on our way to Fort Fremont. It was worth stopping to explore. A great example of a 1740 tabby structure with much still remaining to explore. Also some interesting grave stones and live oaks.

Stopped by for a photo shoot while on vacation at Hunting Island. Interesting construction - oyster shells and plaster looking material. It is slowly, but surely disintegrating. Enjoyed reading the tombstones of some of the loved ones there. It's a small location, so your visit...More
