Main Street Children’s Museum offers fun, educational activities created for ages birth through 6 in Old Town Rock Hill. Make-believe in the pumpkin house, climb to the tip-top of the tree house and sail on the magic ship. Enjoy memory-making family experiences and engage your young child in creative, developmental play. Main Street Children’s Museum is inspired by the artwork of American illustrator Vernon Grant, who lived and worked in Rock Hill.

The rooms are quite small but great for small kids ages 3-7. If you're a single parent looking to relax a little its a quiet place that has entertaining pieces about it. Kids love the colors and activities around the area inside.

The children's museum was more fun than I remember. Over the holidays I took my grandchildren and there were many activities to engage in. Probably on a scale for younger children and 45 minutes, unless really engaged, will be enough time to spend here. I...More

Thanks for the 5-star review and mention of our membership program! We encourage intergenerational play which may take the form of watching, interacting and playing with children plus sometimes chasing them. After all, kids are kids.

Based on the creations of Vernon Grant, this is a very interactive and joyful place for the young. Climbing, crawling and creating up and around the indoor playhouse. Your kids will love it.

Definitely worth a stop in if you have the time. I wasn't sure i'd find much in a "children's museum" but it is very creative.
