View from the Pier

Great view, plenty of parking spaces, loved the mixed drinks. You got great choices in the gift shops.

After many years of visiting this pier, we were deeply saddened that it was destroyed by Hurricane Matthew. We hope Double Tree will rebuild it! My family spent many hours there over the years.

I hope this is rebuilt as it was as it offers great fishing and a nice little gift shop and restaurant.

Hurricane Matthew destroyed most of the pier. The remaining section of the pier and the adjacent motel (that owns it) were closed for repairs in mid-November. The pier needs to be completely rebuilt. The adjacent beach is open, free of debris, and makes for a pleasant stroll..

Went to Myrtle Beach for Thanksgiving weekend, the Springmaid Pier is close to where we stayed. It was nearly 100% demolished by last months storm. I'm sure for tourism, it will be rebuilt soon.

One of the last standing piers on the beach, this is a great one. The views down the Strand are fabulous and it's well worth the price of admission to take a walk.

The pier is a nice place to watch the waves come in, and watch the people fishing as well. i would advice everyone to make a stop at the pier when they r down here.

Precious memories. The annual family reunion that almost happened ... just wasn't to be. My husband got to fish twice in the 30 hours we were there. Yes! Sweet Memories!

This pier was destroyed by Hurricane Matthew. I'm sure it will be rebuilt soon, but if you are planning a trip and enjoyed this pier in the past, it is no longer. For now.
