Part of the Springmaid Beach Resort, the Springmaid Pier stretches 1,060 feet into the ocean. The pier holds the state record for Spanish Mackerel and hosts numerous fishing tournaments. The pier's BARnacles Bar & Grille offers tasty food and drinks in a casual atmosphere. The kids will especially enjoy the hand-dipped ice cream!

Was a nice long pier but 75% destroyed by Hurricane Matthew..no open and may never be rebuilt. When you see how much damage a hurricane can do to a pier it is enough to make you think of its horrible force.

We love to walk and always had plenty to see along the way. Bathrooms were at the both piers . Plenty of shopping on the streets between both piers.

This was always our go to pier and we always made a trip each visit. So sad to see it destroyed. Hoping they decide to rebuild in the future.

The pier is gone and no longer accessible. There are two business next to it but the pier is closed.

Spent a lot of time hanging out on the pier watching the fishermen. I was amazed at the sharks in the water. I stayed for hours and just watched in amazement.

While the pier isn't in working condition, it was a wish of mine to walk from our hotel to the area while we traveled for my birthday. It was amazing to walk under the pier and see the waves lapping up around the wooden posts.

this pier was destroyed last year. Was once my favorite.they are rebuilding now but will not be as good as before

Destroyed by hurricane..I remember it from past years..sad to see it gone ..mother nature is brutal..talk of rebuild doubt it though

This was a pretty old , but still nice pier at the south end of MB. Now it is unusable untill repairs are made.

Surfside Beach council still out on this one looking at steel at woodpiles ND concrete...the wheels will turn slowly on this one.. they want to rebuild BUT are procrastinating

Last time I was in Myrtle, the Sprinmaid pier has been demolished from a hurricane. Look for another one. The one at or Near Apache campground has entertainment. There is also a new one at Cherry Grove Beach that has a lot... More
