Interesting and relaxing tour. Could get a bit boring at times. It is hard to see some of the plantation house and the river looks pretty much the same other wise. The most exciting part of the trip was the gator sighting. If you're looking for a nice relaxing ride and are interested in the history of the rice plantations,... More

Really enjoyed the ride and tour. So interesting to learn about the rice plantations of SC. Had to buy a book to learn more!

Hopped aboard the Waccamaw Lady for a plantation tour. The two hour plus tour travels the Waccamaw and Great Pee Dee rivers and cruises past Sandy Island and a half a dozen rice plantations. The guide was very knowledgeable and added tremendously to the experience. We even saw bald eagle in flight.

We enjoyed a leisurely cruise with about 25 other people on this languid route through the Waccamaw and Peedee River Trip. It's an open air flat bottom boat with a narrated tour as you wind through numerous canals and see wildlife, coastal plantation homes, and historic facts. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. He was able to talk for two... More

We booked the 10am airboat tour. It was a warm July morning and we arrived at 9:30 to check in. Everyone loaded into the airboat and we took off. There are earphones that you can wear if the noise is too much. It was a little loud but we were in front. I imagine that the noise was more the... More

Great guide and enjoyable tour... Great for families. Having been on airboats previously, we were expecting just a little more in the thrills department than this tour affords. However, this tour is not to be overlooked if you want a marsh tour that affords ample wildlife viewing of all kinds. This is the tour you want if you have kids... More

My husband and I were thoroughly impressed with the thorough historical knowledge that the tour guide shared. Very interesting tour of the South's plantation history. It was a relaxing 2 hour boat ride that explored the beautiful waterways of The Lowlands. We even saw a very large alligator swim by the boat. Great trip!

An interesting "back roads" river tour of the old plantations, shoreline, and river wildlife. A nice leisurely way to spend 2 hours and learn some of the local history. The guide was informative and interesting, plenty of comfy seating, and a nice way to explore the area away from the traffic. Try to get the open cabin seats..best for viewing... More

When first getting on I noticed that the seating in the boat was set up to look at each other, not the sights. I learned later as to why. Up the middle of the river we went, our tour guide talking more about other places to visit than where we were. I expected to see distant buildings of the plantations... More

My friends and I have never been on an airboat before and wanted to try something different for our Myrtle beach trip this year. It was one of the highlights of our vacation. We saw 2 baby alligators swimming right along side the boat, a sun bathing turtle, and some awesome looking swamp trees. During the middle of the boat... More
